For the last 20 years, Good has held leadership positions with several non-profit organizations; she joined the Mind Science Foundation in 2008 as director of programs and development. With a degree in nonprofit management, she has specialized in operations, program development and donor relations. She is passionate about the role of both institutional and personal philanthropy in effecting meaningful social change. She and her husband of almost 30 years are the proud parents of a young-adult son and an energetic Jack Russell terrier. A native of San Francisco, she is proud of her adopted home state of Texas.
Although a Midwest native, Emily has worked on the research side of science in Virginia, Texas and California studying cancer therapeutics. She maintained an active love of science outreach and event planning all throughout her career. Emily is passionate about sharpening the public perception and understanding of science. She also adores programming designed to inspire future generations to love science. When relaxing, Emily enjoys trips to the dog park with her two loves, a miniature dachshund and a min-pin mix, and attending area festivals and Spurs games.
Chloe is studying Accounting at Trinity University and will graduate with her undergraduate degree in December 2016. She is currently serving as an initiate advisor in Phi Sigma Pi, an academic honors fraternity on campus, and as a board member on the Safety, Standards, and Health Committee. Her hometown is Lubbock, Texas, and she aspires to work as a Certified Public Accountant in London.
Valarie has been in the bookkeeping/accounting profession in one area or another since 1978. She has owned her bookkeeping business in Texas since 2008 and specializes in helping local small to medium size businesses and non-profit organizations with their QuickBooks and bookkeeping needs. She has been assisting Mind Science Foundation for the past year and is looking forward to learning more about the mind and helping others for years to come. Valarie and her husband homeschooled their only daughter who is currently a senior at UT-Austin. They reside in the beautiful hill-country of Bulverde, Texas.
Maya is studying Pre-Medical Biology with a minor in Psychology at the University of the Incarnate Word. She is in the Honors Program, and is a member of Alpha Lamda Delta, an honors society. Her hometown is Bradenton, Florida. Although she has a love for music and art, Maya is passionate about neuroscience. She aspires to enlist as an officer in the Navy Medical Corps after medical school to pursue a career as a neurosurgeon.
